Training on Surveying Instruments

As accustomed, survey instruments are bought by BOKU and donated to DMU. These instruments can be used for teaching-learning, research, and project works. In order to effectively use of these instruments, conducting training on them is essential. Accordingly, a trainer from Joshansen, Addis (Mr. Daniel) came to our university and conducted both theoretical and practical training from May 28 to June 1/2019.

The training mainly focused on TS 07 geo-operation and application as well as GS14 Rover geo-operation and application. The main contents of the TS 07 training are on how to operate, setup, surveying, takeout, area whereas for GS14 Rover geo-operation and application, the main contents of the training focused on how to set up GS14 receiver, how to set up GS14 Rover, how to connect GS14 Rover to the GS16 Base receiver, GS14 measurement techniques with RTK measurement techniques, how to measure static measurement, how to download and process RTK and static data.
