
EduLAND2 project team members have launched the capacity building activities for land administration experts at different levels since February 2018. The capacity building activities are continuing in 2019 too as set in the project document.
Tailor-made training on ‘Remote Sensing’ for land administration experts at different levels was one of the activities scheduled at the beginning of the fourth project year. Accordingly, Thomas BAUER (Dr.) from Austria, Vienna, BOKU, delivered the training for five consecutive days from 11 – 15 March, 2019. The trainees are land administration experts from federal to wereda levels as well as DMU lecturers. The experts at different levels are from land administration and land use directorate in the ministry of agriculture; federal geo-spatial Information Agency; ANRS Bureau of Environmental Protection, Land Administration and Land Use; Land Administration and Land Use Departments in West Gondar, North Gondar, Central Gondar, South Gondar, East Gojjam, Awi zones, as well as Aneded and Machakel Weredas. Besides, experts from Land Administration Institute, from Institute of Technology, from Geography Department and from Natural Resources Management Department of Debre Markos University participated in the training. In total 33 trainees out of which 8 females participated in the training.
