
EduLAND2 project is continuing its capacity building program in 2018 according to the project plan. In April 2018, the second phase six days training is delivered to 21 land administration experts and other related professionals. Besides the university staff, trainees are from land administration directorate of the federal ministry of agriculture, from federal mapping agency and land administration experts at different levels of land administration and land use Bureau of Amahara National Regional State.
The trainers are Professor Hans Mattsson, from KTH, Sweden; Dr Gerhard Navratil from Technical University of Vienna (TUW); and Wolfgang Pelik from BOKU. Professor Hans delivered training with a main focus on property rights, regulations and planning systems, and on commons. Wolfgang gave training on historical background of LC; Benefits of multifunctional land consolidation; procedure of land consolidation; land use planning; wetlands in the landscape. Gerhard delivered his training on Cartography starting from basic to the advanced level.
