Capacity building for both the institute staff, land administration experts at different levels and for the local community is one work package of the project. Accordingly, trainings are being carried out according to the project plan. In February 2018, five days training has been conducted by a professional from TUW on GIS. The name of the instructor who delivered the training is Marvin McCUTCHAN. The trainees are in total 24 out of which 4 are female participants. The trainees are land administration experts at wereda level and Debre Markos University staff members. The main contents of the training are: Introduction to QGIS – Coordinate Systems – Digitizing & Editing of Data – Spatial Queries & Not Spatial Queries – Spatial Analysis.
